On a totally different note, last night I was blessed to attend a concert by Christian singer-songwriter Laura Story.

In the midst of our wintry weekend, her music warmed my soul and lifted my weary spirit. Go check her out...you'll be glad you did.

  1. Scooper,
Reminds me (fondly) growing up in South Carolina. We got lots of dustings where my parents lived in the upstate.
Currently, we're digging out of 5-8 inches in our neck of the woods.
Our children are lovin' it! especially since their friends are out of school.
    Have fun!
    Peace.

  2. I beg to differ with your title. I'm not sure this is a Redneck Snow Day event at all! I believe it should be installment #3 in your "making-do-with-less" series!

Sometimes it takes so little, doesn't it?

Thank you for including me in the concert last night. What a wonderful service/concert!

    Love you forever,
    MOM

  3. Oh man, a roasting pan! What a great idea! LOL, I'm a native of south GA so snow was a rare sight indeed for me as well. But we live in NC now and the snow we got on Friday was FANTASTIC! I posted some pics if you're interested. Hats off to your ingenuity on the roasting pan/sled!

  4. Love the picture!!!! We don't get as much snow as we'd like round my neck of the woods, but we've never tried a roasting pan!

  6. This is hysterical. We used a garbage can lid and a sled made from PVC pipes. (Plumber husband!!) I love Laura Story. She's AWESOME!!!

  8. I'm a southerner transplanted in Germany. We're trudging through at least a foot of snow right now... It's a whole new world when there's more than a dusting on the ground!

The roasting pan sled looks like FUN!
